Advanced SystemCare has proven to be a consistent optimization tool. The free program provides overall PC management through registry cleansing, malware removal, hard drive degragmentation and several other regulatory features. Advanced Systemcare's functionality is backed up by continual updates. These periodic additions amend the malware definitions and often include additional program updates.

Advanced SystemCare accomplishes many of its tasks with considerable speed. The program defragments faster than a standard Windows defrag, cleans junk files painlessly and removes malware in a few seconds. Unfortunately, many of these features are run in a single combined scan, which tends to give the impression of sluggishness. More savvy users will appreciate the full system optimization, but beginners may be put off.

One of the most interesting features of Advanced SystemCare is its differentiation between Deep and Quick Care. Quick Care is meant to rapidly address the presence of malware, delete invalid shortcuts, remove temporary files and delete unwanted browsing history. Deep scans perform all the functions of Quick Care while also reviewing any rootkit problems, hard-disk errors and Windows flags. Deep scans are meant to be performed intermittently but can be scheduled for daily use. Each scan type is configurable via the options screen. Users can choose to disable almost any option, including the deletion of browsing history and registry scanning.

Advanced Systemcare has a user interface that takes a bit of getting used to. Many of the features are accessible through graphical overlays. These buttons are responsive enough, but differentiating between commands is not quite intuitive. Most options tend to expand outwards into further graphical overlays, which can make routine options less accessible. Some of the more accessible features can also cause serious system changes. For instance, a new user might find themselves presented with the option to clean their registry while browsing for a hard drive defragementation.
